The distress call....

On Monday I got the ultimate distress call from my Aunt. Actually, I had heard that my other Aunt and one of my cousins had moved back into the house and I knew I just had to give her a call to see what's what. As soon as she said hello I could here that she was totally stressed. She works a full time and part time job PLUS she is pretty much the care taker of my grandfather's house. She is basically the woman of that house, leaving her the job of cook, grocery shopper and cleaning assignment delegate. So, after about 2 minutes of small talk I flat out said, "ok, what do you need?" Usually she'll put up a fight and say she doesn't need a thing and i'll have to just bring her what I think she can use from my stock pile. This time, she said "anything you can spare." Whoa.....this is serious. So I put a few things together (see picture above) for her and the house. I also slow cooked my Mexican corn soup last night and am going to take that, along with homemade brownies and cookies, to her on Saturday. Here is the list of everything I packed up:
4 bags cat food
2 toothpastes
5 toothbrushes
2 dish detergents
1 liquid hand soap
8 air fresheners
1 8-pack of paper towels
1 9-pack of toilet paper
2 packs of feminine pads
2 boxes of cereal
1 box of zatarins
1 bottle of hot sauce
2 bottles of laundry detergent
1 pack female razors
1 pack male razors
2 body washes
1 bottle raspberry jam
2 boxes of aleve
1 big bottle of hair gel
2 packs of dish sponges
2 speed stick deodorants
1 box of popcorn
1 box frozen waffles(not pictured)
3 bags lenders bagels(not pictured)

Since her birthday is next month (already stockpiled her gift) and i'll be going up to the house for that, I didn't give her EVERYTHING out of my stock pile. By next month I should have another nice cushion of things for her again. Plus, how silly would it be to give her most of it? I did initially build it for my family first and Hubby would not be pleased if I worked on building it all up (and taking up space) and just gave it all away. He hates to admit it, but he's quite proud of my stock pile too lol.
